What we Believe

The Bible

  • The Bible is the authoritative Word of God. In the original translation, it is inerrant. (Titus 1:2; 2 Peter 1:21)

  • The Bible cannot be altered. It is God-breathed. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Revelation 22:18-19)

  • The Bible  is profitable for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,  that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 8:31-32)

The Trinity

  • There is only One True and Living God, who exists in eternity past, present and future, who has no beginning and no end. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; 1 Timothy 2:5-6)

  • God exists in an eternal Trinity. Three Persons, in one Unity. Each completely God, yet each distinctive. (John 10:30-33; Matthew 3:16-17; John 1:1-3)

  • The Trinity, comprising of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, live and work in complete harmony, through creation, destiny and salvation. (Ephesians 4:1-6; Genesis 1:1-26; Matthew 28:19)

The Father

  • We believe in God the Father, an infinite person, in spirit, who is perfect in all Holiness and Wisdom and Power and Love. (Luke 10:21-22; Matthew 23:9; 1 Timothy 2:5-6)

  • We believe that He knows all things from the beginning (1 Peter 1:2; Isaiah 46:10; Revelation 22:13; Revelation 1:8; Ecclesiastes 7:8)

  • We believe that He is merciful toward mankind, granting a common grace to all (Matthew 5:45; John 3:16; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3)

  • We believe that He hears prayers and answers them and grants deliverance from sin and death, to all who come to Him, through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 3:12; 1 John 5:13-15; John 15:7; John 15:16; Hebrews 11:6; Psalm 55:22; Psalm 37:4-5; Philippians 4:6)

The Son: Jesus Christ

  • We believe in Jesus Christ, the Word of God who became flesh and walked among us. (John 1:1-18)

  • The only born Son was with the Father from eternity past (Micah 5:2; John 1:1-3; John 8:58; John 17:5; John 17:24; Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 7:3; Revelation 22:13)

  • Through whom all things that were created, have been created. ( John 1:1-3; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Corinthians 11:12; Colossians 1:16-20; Hebrews 2:10)

  • The Son is the Light of men, born of a virgin, by the power of the Holy Spirit. (John 1:4; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:27; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Genesis 3:15; Luke 1:35)

  • We believe Jesus Christ lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; 1 John 3:5; Isaiah 53:9)

  • We believe in the miracles and the teachings He gave (Matthew 9:6-8; John 2:1-11; Mark 8:22-26; John 20:19-23; Jeremiah 32:27; Luke 18:27; Psalm 77:14; Acts 10:38; John 3:1-36; John 14:6; John 13:13; John 1:14; John 3:16-17; John 3:2)

  • We believe in His substitutionary suffering, His reconciling death, His burial for three days, His physical resurrection and His ascension to heaven, where He is seated at the Father's right hand. (Isaiah 53:1-12; 1 John 2:2; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18; Colossians 2:13-15; Mark 10:45; Romans 3:25; Isaiah 53:10  Matthew 12:38-40; Luke 23:54-56; Daniel 9:27; Matthew 27:62-66  Matthew 28:5-6 Mark 8:31; Luke 24:6; Mark 16:19; Luke 24:51; Acts 1:11)

  • We believe Christ will soon call His Bride, the Church, up, from this world, to be with Him in heaven (Ephesians 5:25-27; Revelation 19:7-9; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 21:9; Isaiah 54:5; Ephesians 5:25; Isaiah 6:25; Ephesians 5:27; Matthew 25:1-13; Hosea 2:16-23; Ephesians 5:32; John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Philippians 3:20-21; Colossians 3:4)

  • We believe in His and physical return to earth, to judge nations and establish His millennial Kingdom on the earth (Revelation 1:7; John 14:3; Matthew 24:36; Matthew 24:30; Titus 2:13; Acts 1:11; 2 Peter 3:10; Revelation 22:12)

The Holy Spirit

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, who was sent from the Father and the Son as a Comforter for the Faithfull (John 14:15-17)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit works through the Word preached, to convict men of their sins and convince them of God's righteous judgement, so that those who are appointed to eternal life repent and are born again as a new creation, by the same Spirit. (John 15:26-27; John 16:6-11; Romans 8:4-11)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit sanctifies the faithful and supplies power to withstand sin and the whiles of the devil, through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 15:16; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Romans 8:4; 2 Timothy 1:7)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit lives in everyone who is born again, who believes in Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

  • We believe all who are born again, are sealed to eternal life by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, until the receiving of the fullness of the promises. (Ephesians 1:11-14;

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is a continuing Helper, Teacher, Comforter and Guide, to all who believe in Jesus Christ. (John 14:26; John 16:12-15; 1 Corinthians 6:19

  • We believe the Holy Spirit gives gifts to the faithful, as He sees fit, to build His Body, the Church, to proclaim the good news of salvation, through Jesus Christ, to mortify our sinful nature, to sanctify us and to lead a victorious life, to the praise of His Glory (Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11)

Salvation by Grace, through Faith

  • We believe that mankind was created in the image of God, in order to reflect His perfection from the Spiritual realm into the natural world (Genesis 1:26; Genesis 5:1; Genesis 9:6; Mark 10:6; Psalm 139:14; Psalm 100:3; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Ephesians 4:24; Colossians 1:15)

  • We believe that man sinned and could no longer fulfill his purpose, being spiritually dead, which is the eternal separation from God. (Ephesians 2:1; Ephesians 2:5; Colossians 2:13; Romans 8:10; Luke 9:60; John 5:25Luke 15:32; Romans 7:8-9)

  • We believe that, because the first man was a sinner, all who came from him are born with the same sinful nature and are from birth, enemies of God, who opress the Truth in unrighteousness by their own free will, falling under the just and righteous wrath of God,  the eternal Judge. (Acts 17:26; Romans 1:18)

  • We believe that God, who is all knowing and sees the end from the beginning, has, in great Mercy and Love, appointed some among the condemned, to eternal life, so that they, upon hearing the Word of God preached, by the power of the Holy Spirit, would believe and be transformed into a new creation, being released from sins hold on them, by faith in Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 46:10; Acts 13:48; Romans 10:17; Luke 8:15; Ephesians 2:4-6; Ephesians 1:11-14)

  • We believe that God elected those whom He wanted, without any prerequisite in the sinner himself. It was by Grace alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 16:30-31)

The Church

  • We believe that the Church is the universal and global body of born again believers, of which Christ Jesus is the head, by which the entire body is joint together.  (Colossians 1:18; Galatians 3:28)

  • We believe that the local Church is a part of the universal Church body, governed by Christ, through the Spirit, by the Word of God. The local Church is a gathering in a dedicated building; a private home, or in the open air, of at least two or three believers, who rejoice in Christ and Glorify Him. (Matthew 18:20)

  • God is a God of order. He has appointed functions within the body, not to rule, but to serve the members. (1 Corinthians 12:28; 1 Corinthians 14:33)

  • We believe that the primary task assigned to the Church is to spread the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and to establish, educate and grow new believers into mature Christians, to comfort the sorrowing, to celebrate our blessed hope and to strengthen each other in our daily battles. (Matthew 28:16-20;  John 17:20; 2 Timothy 4:5; 2 Peter 3:18; Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 5:14; 1 Peter 4:10; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Christian life

  • We believe that a Christian, by Grace, through faith, has returned to his original design. In all things, he or she lives for and unto the Glory of God. (Isaiah 43:7; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Matthew 5:16; Isaiah 43:20-21; Isaiah 44:23; Isaiah 48:9-11)

  • Living for and unto the Glory of God causes us to fight against what remains of our sinful nature in our yet unregenerate bodies. We strive to enter the Kingdom of God through the narrow gate. (Galatians 5:24; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 2:3; Romans 13:14; Matthew 7:13)

  • We believe that the believer has a calling from God, to share the good news of salvation with others and to be a trustworthy custodian, over all that God has intrusted unto him. (1 Peter 4:10; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7; Matthew 25:23)

Baptism and communion

  • We do not hold to many religious rituals, knowing that most of them are institutions of man, for which we were warned. (Mark 7:1-26)

  • We believe Jesus Christ left us two main tasks (or sacraments): Baptism and communion (the breaking of bread and the drinking of the cup of wine.)  (Acts 2:38; Acts 19:5; Acts 22:16; John 6:53-54; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

  • We believe that baptism by submersion in a body of water is the only baptism taught in the Bible, which is to be administered directly following the inward conversion to the faith. ; (Matthew 3:13-17; John 3:23; Acts 8:36-38; Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:12; Exodus 14:21-22)

  • We believe that baptism is a onetime event in a believers life, a person cannot be baptized again. (Hebrews 6:6; Mark 1:4; Mark 16:16; Colossians 2:12-13)

  • We believe that Holy Communion was established by Jesus Christ directly preceding His Sacrifice on the cross, as a perpetual remembrance, until His return. ( 1Corinthians 11:23-26; Matthew 26:26-28)

  • We believe that participation in Holy Communion is only reserved for the believers in Jesus Christ and should be participated in, with utmost reverence, remembering what Sacrifice is commemorated by it. (1 Corinthians 11:17-34; Matthew 26:26-29; Matthew 27:32-54)

  • We believe that anyone who partakes of Holy Communion without reverence, will suffer hurt for it. (1 Corinthians 11:17-22)

Likeminded, of one Spirit

  • We believe that the universal Church, constituting all born again believers, who follow Christ on the narrow road, are of one spirit. The church we outwardly see may be divided, but the true church cannot be divided, for Christ is not divided.  ( 1 Corinthians 1:10-13; Ephesians 4:5; Philippians 2:2)

  • We believe that the true believers should stop defining themselves, the Church and other believers according to denominations but rather as saved (being either mature or babes in Christ) or as the unregenerate. (1 Corinthians 1:10-25; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Peter 2:2; Hebrews 5:12-14)

The Last Days

  • We believe that we are living in the last days and have been living in the last days since Christ's ascension into heaven. (1 John 2:18)

  • We believe that we are living in the hour of the last days because God has again planted the children of Israel in their land, as a clear sign that the last generation is alive now.; Ezekiel 34:13; Ezekiel 11:11-17; Ezekiel 28:25-26; Jeremiah 32:37; Amos 9:14; Ezekiel 36:22-24)

  • We believe that Christ will soon return for His bride, the Church and take her with Him to His Father's house in what is known as the Rapture. (1 Corinthians 15:51-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 2:9)

Maranatha Lord Jesus, come quickly !
